The Turks built their first electric cars. They were presented in the form of prototypes. We are talking about a compact SUV and a limousine. President Tayyip Erdogan attended the ceremony of presentation of the two models. The Turkish cars were designed by Pininfarina design studios. Models in the production version will be produced by the auto TOGG group, which includes five companies.
One of the two prototypes is the limousine, which is scheduled to debut in segment C in 2022. The model can be ordered with one of the two available engines: 200 and 400 horsepower, respectively, according to the head of TOGG, Gyurkan Karakash.
The upper version is driven by two electric motors, one on each of the two decks, providing all-wheel drive. They make it accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds, and its lithium-ion battery provides it with autonomy of up to 500 kilometers. The battery can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
The entry-level version has a single engine and rear-wheel drive and sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.6 seconds. 300 kilometers can pass between two charges. The Turkish manufacturer did not say whether these figures are valid for an electric SUV or only for a limousine.
