The US environmental protection Agency (EPA) tested the new Porsche Taycan, and the presented autonomy was 100 kilometers less than the official one. The Porsche Taycan is the first 100 percent electric model of the Stuttgart brand and is seen as a direct rival for Tesla's zero-emission American sedans.
The new Taycan can currently be ordered in three versions-4S, Turbo and Turbo S-the largest autonomy, according to WLTP standards, having an average version: 450 kilometers with a single charge. The US environmental protection Agency (EPA) has now tested the Taycan Turbo, and the autonomy certified by this body is only 201 miles, or about 323 kilometers. This figure will appear on all commercial flyers in the Americas.
Not to mention that EPA certification positions the new Taycan after models like the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Bolt, Audi e-Tron, and any of the Tesla models. In addition to the two certificates, WLTP and EPA, Porsche also ordered testing of the autonomy of the new Taikan and an independent body, AMCI. The result was 442 km of autonomy for the Taycan Turbo.
Meanwhile, Porsche CEO Oliver Blum recently stated that there was an unexpected large demand for the new Taikan in Europe.
