A NEW generation of MERCEDES-BENZ GLA WITH an engine FROM RENAULT and an AMG VERSION WITH MORE than 300 HP.

Mercedes has published the first photos and official information about the new generation of GLA. Customers will also have an AMG version with more than 300 horsepower. Mercedes-Benz continues to produce SUVs. Having introduced the first SUV to wear the Mercedes-Maybach logo a few weeks ago, the Stuttgart brand is now returning with a more compact SUV for everyone.

This is the new generation of the GLA, which, although 14 millimetres shorter than the model it replaces, offers a wheelbase 30 millimetres longer (2.699 mm) and a width 30 millimetres larger (1.804 mm). In addition, the height increased by 104 mm to 1.507 mm, and the ground clearance is also greater by 9 mm (143 mm).
The exterior design has not undergone major changes, and the interior is similar to the one available on the latest Mercedes models. Among other things, the GLA gets two 7-inch screens for the dashboard and infotainment system, or two additional 10.3-inch ones, and a MBUX multimedia system with voice commands and a color display.

Despite the fact that the range of engines will certainly be more diverse in the future, customers currently have two engines. The basic version of the GLA 200 is equipped with a 1.33-liter three-cylinder petrol engine developed with Renault-Nissan, which develops 163 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The car reaches 100 km / h in 8.7 seconds, the maximum speed is 210 km / h and the all-wheel drive system is optional.
